Your tax deductible donation, however small, makes a difference in the lives of the children that we support. We have provided many ways for you to help these young lives and give these children a chance at a better life.

Sponsor a Girl’s Future

You have a unique opportunity to change a life forever. Our grants are focused on a next generation of future doctors, nurses, scientists and engineers. Imagine a generation of highly skilled professionals. An educated woman has the capacity to change their lives and the lives around them.

Through your sponsorship and a 50% grant match from the Yaman Lahi Foundation, you can give a young woman a professional career. The grant provides education at the accredited Emilio Aguinaldo College. In addition, the scholar is given a part time job to help her gain work experience and offset her living expenses. The selection process used by the college includes recommendations provided by the orphanages or homes where these young women have been living.  The college will then select the best candidate. These women have the aptitude and motivation but lack the means. Their disadvantaged background should not be a factor in stopping them from fulfilling their dreams.

$700 seems like a lot except when you compare it to the cost of education in any developed country. That includes tuition, books and a part time job. $700 a year for an education is $58 US dollars a month. $58 a month to change a life. With this donation or even a portion of it, you will be provided updates written by your sponsored girl of her experience in school and her progress. Of course, if you want more involvement, you may correspond with your sponsored girl.

Ship a Care Box

Each quarter we will ship care boxes to the organizations we support. You may simply sponsor the shipping of a box for $70 to a bag of rice for $10 – No amount is too small and every bit makes a difference. We fill these boxes with food, books, toiletries and school supplies – much needed in the Philippines where we are doing most of our work. Through reliable international delivery services we have been

able to deliver our donations door to door.

Here is a list of what is needed the most:
Baby Needs – cloth diapers with pins, baby soap and shampoo, learning toys for toddlers, crib sheets, feeding bottles
School Supplies -Paper, Pens, Pencils, Art supplies, Erasers, Envelopes, Rulers, Scissors, Paper clips, Markers, Glue, Notebooks, Pad Papers
Food- Powdered Milk, Canned goods, Noodles, Condiments, Oatmeal, Biscuits, Cookies, Fruit Juice
Soap, Shampoo, Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Towels, Deodorant, Vitamins, Childrens reading books

If you are in the San Francisco Bay Area and have children’s reading books, we have partnered with an organization that delivers these books to remote elementary schools across the Philippines. Our books have gone to remote villages via bus, jeeps and even tricycles. The response we get from these schools is simply heartwarming. English language reading books illustrated in color are difficult, if not impossible to find. Teachers use these books to inspire and foster a love of learning for their students. Books destined for landfill have found loving homes in the hands of these children.

Donate

Of course, your cash donations are always welcome. By leveraging the power of foreign currency your donation goes so much further, sometimes 40 times further. This is a substantial amount for countries like the Philippines where the average per capital income is $250/month. Any amount no matter how small makes a difference. Over 98% of your donations are given directly to the children.
